Kit refers to any character’s unique set of capabilities, and is also referred to as a “loadout” (particularly in FPS games). While a character’s base kit is often augmented at various points through leveling or experience progression or perks or upgrades, but the fundamental kit never changes. Kit and loadout are increasingly interchangeable.
