A Timing Attack refers to an attempt by a player to take advantage of a weakness in the enemy’s build order, usually during a timing ‘window’ where the enemey has temporarily lessened investing in fighting forces to instead invest in some tech tree advancement. The goal of a timing attack is to catch the enemy off-guard and inflict catastrophic damage before the enemy can adequately respond.
